The College
Established 2015 · 4th medical college of MCGM
Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College was formally established in August 2015, when the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai upgraded the existing Cooper Hospital into a full medical college. The college admitted its first MBBS batch of 100 students for the academic year 2016–17 under affiliation to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik.
Today the college runs MBBS and DNB postgraduate programmes across 22 departments, implements the NMC's Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum, and is recognised by the National Medical Commission.
